LC of lions made inoculated via self healing injection port into wbs jars that were sterilized i pastuerized straw let it cool the jars were 100% and you can tell it went from a faint mycellium strand too very dense or more dense than it was when i spawn it to straw i made sure to poke 2 needle size holes in the bag for air co2 exchange its been 9 days and have seen no recovery of my the mycellium why is this? none of the jars appeared contaminated they grew fast and clean from what it looked like.any ideas

you might get more responses to this if you post it in the Gourmet and Medicinal subforum. this one is geared towards psychoactive mushrooms.

How much straw and how much spawn are you using?
Was the straw below 95 degrees when you added the spawn?
You can poke very many pin holes for gas exchange. Like a paddle with 500 pins in it and slap the bag a lot.

The straw was cooled and im using a bag that when its stuffed its about 5 inches in diameter and 22 inches tall i put small pin holes in it for gas exchange on day 5 when i noticed that the bag was building pressure .i used nearly 5 quarts of spawn for this ive noticed small growth in small areas but nothing aggressive when i pastuerized the straw i used 2 tablespoons of lime as well at 160-180 for 2 1/2 hrs then cooled really upset though how it didnt come out well i had greAt success with pink oysters

Try hardwood sawdust/wood chips supplemented with 20% bran and a little gypsom. You can get generic bran cereal for cheap at the grocery store. I'd also poke the GE holes when you spawn.
LM will work on straw and even PF Tek cakes, but not with great results. Good luck!
