So I'm relatively new to the mushroom hunting world (though well versed in the psychedelic), and am having a hard time finding something active. I've put a decent amount of hours into studying up on various species ( P. Cyanescens, Cyanofibrillosa, liniformans var. americana, pelliculosa, the good ol' semilanceata, sierrae, silvatica, stuntzii the Psilocybe genuses occurring in Oregon), and have taken some off my search list with the understanding that they be rare in the wild (my preferred hunting grounds), or contained to the coastal areas.
Which brings me to my question. Which of these should I be focusing my efforts and eyes on? I've read multiple posts recommending which to look for in parks/landscaped areas, but I would really prefer avoiding this, as my hunting is more about enjoying the forest than anything. I'm in Western/southern Oregon (about an hour in from the coast), usually looking along creeks and old-growth forest (so cow dung isn't too prevalent). My last couple excursions have been with the intent of finding some P. Cyanescens , hoping I might get lucky, but dozens of spore prints tested to come back brown or white have dwindled said hope slightly.
Thanks for any assistance or knowledge you may be able to provide, lovin' this little community here!

If you want to find hallucinogenic mushrooms you will probably have better luck in urban areas. If you want to find edible mushrooms then going to the woods is a good idea. If you want to know what mushrooms you will find then you will just have to go outside and find out.

Look in hard wood mulched beds In parks, in-front of businesses, on the side of the road even. You will find them if you keep on looking.
