Pulsating eyelids during peak , anyone else get this?

Just wondering if anyone else gets intense pulsating eyelids in strobe light type speed? I don't always get this, but have had this happen several times. I've had this with LSD,shrooms, and last time with DMT. Only with the DMT I could actually feel my brain pulsating at the same time as the eyelids. I was worried when the brain was twitching from DMT trip, I've had seizures in the past from serotonin syndrome and was concerned I was gonna seize. Anyway does this happen to anyone else? Also need to add these occasions have been among the most profound trips.

It's a typical occurrence for me and I feel as though it's tied in with a sensation in the brain also as you state.
It happens before and after my eyes drift up to look at the pineal when I witness deep, crisp CEVs.

I've had eye/lid twitches when sober, but never really paid too close attention while on a dose. I haven't noticed them in a few weeks though, they seem to have stopped.

When i close my eyes on shroom it's like i'm in REM sleep, i don't know if that's what your describing.

Good point, never thought of that comparison. My eyes actually twitched though.

Yup, same here, I experience "flashing lights" usual when just coming down from the peak on mushrooms

Last 2 trips....right eye...like fluttering Rapid eye movement..kinda freaked me out...think it's the L personally...seems to go away in 10-15 min. A little disconcerting... ....I was an Egyptian God!
I was so f****** tripped out I thought that the machine was using LSD to reprogram my eye so I could evolve to the next level!
Ohhhhhhh yeahhhhh!

Wow, really nice to hear others experience this. It's a bit scary sometimes. Yea just realized REM= rapid eye movement Am I alone on the brain pulsating in front of forehead? It was weird feeling that turned me off on DMT.

Yea, LSD does this for me. Rapid eye movement, pulsating eye lids, flashing/strobing lights mix with the CEVs or strobing lights followed by CEVs.

Just Googled REM and learned alot. Rapid eye movement sleep (REM sleep, REMS) is a unique phase of mammalian sleep characterized by random movement of the eyes, low muscle tone throughout the body, and the propensity of the sleeper to dream vividly. This phase is also known as paradoxical sleep (PS) and sometimes desynchronized sleep because of physiological similarities to waking states, including rapid, low-voltage desynchronized brain waves. Electrical and chemical activity regulating this phase seems to originate in the brain stem and is characterized most notably by an abundance of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, combined with a nearly complete absence of monoamine neurotransmitters histamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine.[1] The cortical and thalamic neurons of the waking or paradoxically sleeping brain are more depolarized—i.e., can "fire" more readily—than in the deeply sleeping brain.[2] The right and left hemispheres of the brain are more coherent in REM sleep, especially during lucid dreamsREM sleep is punctuated and immediately preceded by PGO (ponto-geniculo-occipital) waves, bursts of electrical activity originating in the brain stem.[4] These waves occur in clusters about every 6 seconds for 1–2 minutes during the transition from deep to paradoxical sleep.[5] They exhibit their highest amplitude upon moving into the visual cortex and are a cause of the "rapid eye movements" in paradoxical sleep.[6][7]. Kinda weird that monoamine is inhibited. Seems like tripping makes brain "fire" better.

Monoamine has to do with serotonin, it's not that remarkable it's inhibited during REM sleep. Serotonin is what's responsible for dreams. However, i have heard theories that the pineal gland (which produces serotonin DMT and i think melatonin and one other,) releases DMT while your dreaming. But when i close my eyes on shrooms my eyes feel like their in REM. I don't think you can actually enter REM sleep through shrooms though.
The eye movements might have something to do with serotonin which is the receptor psilocin binds to, to mimic it. I can't say that for sure though i honestly don't know.
MAOi's used to be prescribed for depression which they thought had to do with serotonin (and sometimes it does)

Yea, guess it all ties together. The brain is such a complex and fascinating machine.
