Well, glad mini rounds are not cheap for me either

It is that or working with what I can find locally which is this clunky crap that doesn't even have a tight seal.

dude, you can get off-brand stuff way cheaper, like 1/10th the price. you just gotta send the vendors a bunch of mails asking what materials are used, and make sure both lid and cup is PP plastic.
I've seen those outrageous prices on glad rounds myself. btw you dont want or need a tight seal.

I did the math before buying those mini rounds: 71,57 euros / 96 minis = 0,75 cents per plate and I thought well fuck it, why not... That was why I didn't even bother trying to find something similar and cheaper on ebay, but will do.
About those plates in my pic, the seal is really loose, I just don't trust it plus they're huge.

I did but they didn't like the bottle as much on average. I did find one clone that did better with bottles, it tended to make bigger fruits.

Nothing special. Sub was everything I could chuck in and the kitchen sink. On average they did a bit better in pint PP5's.
Speaking of APE second flush wrapping up. Gonna let it ride since nothing is waiting for the spot. . .yet. The sub is hella shrunk.
Just starting to pin

Slant plug thoughts. I just bought these plugs for some tubes. I usually use the screw cap ones they work great half twist and a bit of micropore. But i had these glass tubes and the caps with them melted in the PC. So i got these plugs. Im thinking of drilling through them and stuffing hole with polly fill for storage. Any other thoughts or ideas? Before i get the drill out.

Once you run glad mini rounds about 15-20 times or so you can pretty much turn them upside down and the lid will fall off. I'd rather them be loose, easier to operate, I hate how stiff the new ones are until they are "broken in"

It's the rack from a pressure cooker. I'd like to hear the idea behind it too.

So I made my first successful LC from a piece of agar in grain water (soft wheat berries).
It is looking beautiful, so I tried to test it out in a few plates and a extra grain jar I had. Thing is, the syringe I used did not pick up enough of the mycellium and would get clogged easily (the test plates have the tiniest hint of Myc, none in the grains yet)
So I need to get a bigger syringe. What gauge needle do you guys recommend? Are blunt tip needles capable of piercing the CTV silicone filter I made? I also saw some hydroponic syringes that are all plastic.

Despite getting through the filter, these seem like the would be perfect. Has anyone used them?

For LC I like 16 gauge. 18 works but can get clogged. 14 destroys SHIPs. I sharpened a blunt tipped 14 gauge with a file, for use on SHIPs. It pierced it fine but the fat needle split the SHIP right in half.
