Possible reishi identification?

Hello, new here. Recently i found this specimen in my raccoons habitat. He ate almost half of it(the whole specimen was approximately 8-9inches in diameter) and didnt eat a thing all day after that until the next day. So far he looks in good shape, its been 3 weeks now and he is his same old self energic and full of spunk. The mushroom was growing on a dead lime tree trunk, the trunk is actually from an old tree that died off from internal rot and termites, thats why i decided to use it as a temporary(the wood is hard still, just decay on outer "skin")fence post for my buddys habitat. The base of the trunk just above the ground would have a puddle everytime it rained, so it was constantly soaking. The mushroom is white on the bottom and has very small pores similar to some types of coral i would say, my camera isnt very good so i cant really show the bottom. The smell is very similar to regular white mushrooms you get at the store but a bit stronger without any stink to it just regular generic mushroom bold smell. The photo isnt that great and mind you this was a very dirty specimen before i took the photo the dirt, dead fibers and raccoon hair you can see in the image is fused into the mushroom so i took some samples from the inside of the mushroom and am trying to clone it in some BRF cakes mixed with coir.........hehehehe im pretty sure there is too much contamination but what the heck, i will share my results if there is a positive outcome on that hand. Now on the other hand, lets get down to the question............. does anybody think this specimen is a Reishi(Ganoderma Lucidum) mushroom? please share your thoughts on this, if any, Best Regards to the lot of ya!

Just from looking at the top, I'd say it was a Ganoderma sp., but a shot of the underside would help.
Also, is your raccoon some weird SWIM thing or did you take a bite of this three weeks ago and are just afraid to admit it?

I don't think this is Ganoderma, certainly not G.lucidum. Can you post a cross section.

Actually, you're probably right. It doesn't look thick enough. And there's nothing for size comparison.

Here are some better pics(i cleaned it a bit better). The flesh is very tough hard to cut so i just snapped a piece off and by the way the temperature is aprox all year round between 70-85F in the shade(where the specimen was found) with around 75-90% humidity.

About the raccoon, he is currently indisposed in his slumber, will get a pic in the morning.
