Pan Subb I.D

Found this growing in grass, tan cap and mostly white stem. No noticeable bruising waiting on Spore print till I get home. Any thoughts?

Looks right to me, as long as the spores are black I would call these Pan subb.
Lovely photos.

Thank you both for the quick replies, It's my understanding that both of those mushrooms have black Spore prints correct? What are some of features used to differentiate the two?

foenisecii has dark brown spores and all other Panaeolus have jet black ones.

Agreed. I haven't seen a spore print but I can see that stipe and the gills.

If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

They are not subbs. Spore print is brown. No hint of black. Maynard's got a well trained eye. Thank you all for the help and always, happy hunting! :dawerp:
