Drying setup and first monotub harvest.

Hey guys just harvested my first flush from my first monotub weighing in at 560gr wet. My Drying setup consists a fan blowing 90º air into a small tub to dry the mushrooms. The question is will my setup harm the potency?
(Before anyone asks yes I used the search function and many threads seemed to argue on potency loss but none seemed conclusive nor informative.)

They'll be fine. If your worried about it buy a dehydrator. They are a must have if your investing in the hobby.

Heat is not the enemy at this point...Elapsed time until fully dried is what will effect the potency... All the time and effort that you put in to that grow, only to botch it during the drying process... Buy a dehydrator man.

We have a drying thread at least once a week here and usually each one lists the temps that actives start to break down which is a couple hundred degrees more than a dehydrator is capable of. Also how the longer fruits are wet the more potentcy they loose and about degrading enzymes and at what temps said enzymes are deactivated. Just have to plug in the right words into the advanced search, limit the results to the past couple years and check the ratings of the person giving advice and/or if they are a TC.
Some members have made their own dehydrator, you need heat + moving air to dry mush properly, but a decent regular presto or nesco should only set you back around 30 some $, full power for around 12 hours or until cracker dry then store air tight.
Great job on your first tub and welcome to the Shroomery
