What should I do?

Its been 2 weeks (going on 3) since I inoculated my BRF jars. Only 2 of them have any mycelium growth and they are about 50% colonized. All my other jars have no growth of mycelium what so ever. The two jars that do have mycelium growth started about 5 days after inoculation. What should I do?
I used a spore syringe from a sponsored vendor, the jars also came from a sponsored vendor pre-sterilized (with injection ports). So I don't think its contamination.

Did you shake the syringe between jars? How much spore solution did you use per jar? Did you follow the PF tek recipe exactly?
Sometimes it just takes a short time for some jars and a long time for others; especially with cakes.

I shook the syringe a lot before inoculating because they were all clumped together. When i was done shaking you couldn't see them. I used the recommended 1cc per jar, all the jars are half pints. I didn't shake between jars as I didn't read anywhere that it was necessary, all I read was to make sure the spores were broken up in the syringe. I also sterilized the needle every two jars.

Vendors are not perfect, either so there's still a margin of error. I'ts possible that something survived the PC cycle, spores just didn't germinate, etc. There's no harm in letting the jars sit around for awhile before you toss them.

But you really couldn't know for sure considering you didn't sterilize them yourself

An explanation of your setup/procedure could shed some light on what may have gone wrong. Just some advice: Whenever you have a question like this, try to be as descriptive and specific as possible. Too many variables to overlook when you give little to no info on what you actually did.

Pre made jars are known for being iffy. I have had times where they took a long time to grow. Wait another week and see how it goes, I assume they have Gas Exchange?
Tell us what tek u followed or whatever ur setup is, or pics. that'll help. atm these are just guesses.

I was going to do it every jar but the guide I read said every 3 jars, so I just decided to do it every 2 jars. Next time it will be every jar.

Shaking syringe between jars is a good idea but considering there was a visible clump of spores in the syringe and you broke it by shaking it, I doubt not shaking the syringe between jars is the problem.
You just have to wait and see what happens, there is nothing you can do to interfere with the process anyway.

That guide is incorrect. Think about it this way, each time you inject a jar, you're bringing things with it on the exit and then placing that into another supposedly sterile environment, thus, contaminating it with the bacteria/spores from the previous jars.

Excellent videos that I still go back and watch from time to time. For the beginner, there's really nothing better.

After I received the spores and jars, I wiped all the self healing ports with an alcohol pad. After that I inoculated each jar with 1 cc of spore solution (huautla to be exact), re-sterilizing the needle every two jars (which now i will be doing every jar). Since then I have kept them in a small plastic container w/ a handle so they are easy to move. The location they are kept in stays between 75-83 degrees Fahrenheit at all times.

Pre-made jars can be suspect considering that your only line of defense is a dry verm layer on top of the Brown Rice Flower. It wouldn't surprise me if that vermiculite layer gets disturbed/shifted during transit. I don't know the specifics of your situation so this is merely speculation on my part, but the logic still stands. You'll get better results when you're able to control your own materials and processes instead of relying on a complete stranger who then has to ship it through our lackluster postal service.

All you can do now is to wait and observe.
And all I can say is that if you make your own jars and your own inoculum, you'll know who and what to blame and correct when something like this happens.
But as I said, sometimes some spores take a long time to germinate than others.

The jars do not have a dry verm barrier. They have a self healing injection port and a filter thing (whatever its called).
