Almost ready to fruit

Pic are same tub. But I have another that's close. It's been about 6 days since spawned, can't wait to fruit. The top of these looks different from other tubs fully colonized, anyone know why exactly?

You can put the tub into fruiting conditions right after spawning with no problems.

That's an interesting read! Personally I like to wait for full colonization before fruiting so I know my sub won't dry out during. Knowing that the sub was introduced to FAE at the perfect time gives me piece of mind as well. Giving the term pinning trigger more of a literal meaning. Also the surface moisture beads up nicely on its own this way which is perfect for the pinset. I usually get full colonization after 6-7 days and start to see pins ~10 days after spawn.
OP the myc "fingers" reaching up through the casing layer is often due to bacterial spawn. How did you inoculate?

Yeah I don't think it will be a big problem. It won't yield as much as it could with clean spawn and may contaminate easier. You should consider agar work in the future tho

I've never experienced "myc fingers" myself but how can you tell the difference between bacterial and not Cron?

With bacteria those fingers will fan out and also be a lot less organized

so your saying this is healthy and I shouldn't worry? I just put them in a monotub tub in indirect light with a fan on. Should I spray the sides of the tub there is no perlite
