Container questions for spawning to bulk

Hey all!
So, my first 1-qt rye berry jars are almost finished colonizing from Alacabenzi multi-spore syringe inoculation. Actually with it being my first grow, I only have 1 surviving jar (Side note: I've switched to Agar work to decrease contamination chances)
So, I've done a a quite a bit of research, but I was actually not able to find a definitive answer to my question... Soooo, I made an auto Terrarium very similar to the one in this guide for a fruiting chamber: http://gamerchronic.com/build-terrarium-for-80-bucks-or-less/
Because I only have 1 jar remaining I am going to spawn that single jar to 2 or 3 trays of pasteurized coir/verm mix. My question(s) are:
So, while my bulk substrate is colonizing: (1) Should I use this Fruiting Chamber to colonize the substrate? (1-A) If so, how much (if any) should I run the air pump for FAE? (1-B) If so, how much (if any) should I run the humidifier? (2) If I shouldn't use the Fruiting Chamber to colonize my substrate should I make an additional shotgun chamber with Polly-fill holes to allow my substrate to colonize? What is the ideal bulk substrate colonizing chamber
Note: I have a Hygrometer to measure humidity, so I can play with my humidifier & air pump to attain a very specific humidity in the container.
So, I guess in a nutshell my question is can an auto terrarium be used to colonize a bulk substrate, and if so is there such a thing as too much FAE/humidity? Will this increase chances of contamination?
This forum is awesome, and I appreciate each and every one of you who have posted questions, and who have helped out noobies like me who are just starting out! Stay Groovy

I wouldn't build that. The person who made that write-up isn't a pro grower by any means. For one thing, they talk about building a "contaminant-free growing environment" which is a garbage idea. Waste of time, money, electricity, and space. You don't need gizmos and doo-dads to run a small fruiting chamber; in fact, I'd say they are almost always counterproductive, especially for the novice grower.
For me personally, if that jar of rye looks healthy, I'd G2G it and make some more jars. Cost: a couple bucks.
If I were going to spawn a single quart, I'd do it to a variation on a tiny monotub, such as a 2-liter soda bottle, or 6 qt dubtub or similar. Cost: almost free.
Finally, if I wanted to do a tray type grow instead of a monotub, I'd spawn the one jar to a single tray and toss that tray in a shotgun chamber. Cost: I dunno, $35?
But I definitely wouldn't build some hideous "autogrow" contraption for $80. I think you'll find that most people on this board shun things like that in favor of simpler and more effective designs.
And no, that contraption is a fruiting chamber; you wouldn't ever run it during colonization. You do not want FAE during colonization, you want the CO2 to build up somewhat.

I looked over that site you linked in more detail, and it's funny, they also throw in a link to a tek for making a shotgun terrarium in the same post. I don't know why anyone would ever bother with the over-complicated "auto-grow chamber" with its hatch sawed into the top and tubes and wires and shit, when a superior, masterfully simple and elegant design is right there.
And just to show you that a good flush is possible even with a no-dollars shit setup and just a tiny bit of grain spawn, here's a 2-liter soda bottle grow I did some years back:

Thanks for the info!
I bought the supplies for the auto terrarium when I initially first started, but I obviously should have waited. I like automation so I liked the idea of not having to mist, and being able to control the humidity to a T without having to open the lid, and decrease human interaction. (probably the engineer-side coming out :0)
I like the idea of G2G... I'll probably post some pictures of the quart jar to verify that it looks good before I start making the new grain jars. I suspect I still have another 4 to 7 days before the jar is fully colonized, maybe more- idk, I'm a noob

While the sub is colonizing do you ever mist if it looks dry or do you just let it sit no matter what?
Thanks for taking the time!

Btw that 2-liter bottle grow is awesome! Did you have that bottle in a bag while it was colonizing/ fruiting?

No, I had the cut-off neck of the bottle sitting loosely on top of the thing.
You don't mist colonizing substrates. You leave them alone in a closed-up tub.

Preciate it! I think I'm over-complicating this. I've read posts of growers saying their colonizing sub got too dry, and I don't want this last jar in the batch to fail. haha.
