Can anyone identify these please

http:// Habitat: I found them on grassy hilltop on the south downs in amongst the grass in groups Gills: I'm colour blind but I think dark brown
Stem: 3-9cm long, 3mm wide, pale in colour shiny
Cap: Diameter of 0.5-1.5cm, brownish in colour

my guess is some sort of ink cap species.

I wouldn't say most are inky caps. Theres at least one panaeolus in there, and maybe some libs (though they sure look soggy and difficult to reliably id)

This is a clearer image. I found them in clusters, do you think they're poisonous? Aren't inky caps supposed to be inky?

I agree, most of them look like P. semilanceata. Except a couple that look much more like Panaeolus. Pictures of them in situ (before you pick them) would be ideal for your next hunt.
Your in the right spot for sure.
