Made too many brf jars. Can I save em?
    #23865433 - 11/25/16 08:10 AM (8 years, 1 month ago)

I thought I had another syringe left, but turns out only 2ml was left. Can I save the other jars I have made/sterilized? I was thinking the fridge? Then just sterilize them again? Only downside I see is the moisture from fridge getting into the dry verm layer, but I have a new pack of flow thru baking soda in there, so there shouldn't be much humidity. What do you all think? Also, how should I get more spores? Online, or spore print? is the print worth it for the time it takes?

Whip up some agar and use the drops. Did you take any spore prints from your last grow/s? It might be Time to hang up the PF tek.  You might be able to save them, but I think you should move on to agar>grain>bulk.

I've never really looked into that method. Is it more time consuming/difficult? No i haven't taken any prints, never have, but I should have another flush coming soon.

Yeah A little bit, and you need a PC. UTSF and take some prints. Did you make a SAB? Check out pastey plates.

You could save yourself and step it up a notch.  Let the pf jars perish.

Hm. Yeah, I'll check it all out sometime, but idk if I can shift like that. I already have two tubs, and 12 jars, and the verm that i use for the jars. And it's so little time. I'm in nursing school and don't think I can make a grow transition. I appreciate your help though!

How many more jars are we talking? Is it really worth saving? PF jars dont really contain much prep work and supplies are cheap. If your formiluar and comfortable with  SAB for scraping spores to syrienge  then i'd say yes spores are a great way to always keep a handy stash. Espically considering how easy it is to make a spore print
