I MAKE FIRE BEEF JERKY

I got a beef jerky maker a year ago and have basically mastered making my own beef jerky recipe. It's actually quite simple but I sure as hell did mess up the first few batches...
I've now been able to make my money back selling it to friends. I pickup 4.5 pounds of very lean ground beef. 93/7. I make my secret mix. I'll give out a secret instead of using regular salt I use apple wood smoked sea salt. This adds a smokey flavor. I also buy dried smoked Chipotle's from a small farm in California. I grind those up in my nutribullet and add the dried mix to flattened out ground beef. I then knead it all together as evenly as possible and throw that into a freezer bag. Add a few liquid additions (teriyaki, Worcestershire sauce, and sometimes *hot sauce"). Let it it in the fridge overnight. Then the next day I use my jerky gun to make strips and dehydrate.
I usually go for 6.5-8 hours. 8 hours or more leaves the jerky a little tougher. I like 6.5 but sometimes you just need to go longer...
Shit my friends have even said I should start selling this shit. I literally can't make enough to even sell to them. I'll have one buy me out and then the others get mad. I also give them killer deals compared to the store jerky. They sell you like 3.5oz for what 7-8$ I charge like 5$ for 5oz...hahhaaha
I'd love to make some for the forum to try. lol... maybe get a few people to pitch in 5$ each and I'll make a batch and ship it out to the group. Let me know!! hehehe..

Shipping is rather cheap. Next time I make a batch I'll try to PM you. Only be like 5$ + 2-3$ for shipping I'd assume.

How could you go about creating a company and selling? Maybe patenting a name and going down to the nearest farmer's market? Enter some jerky competitions, win, and make a GoFundMe page for heavier production. Maybe local stores would sell it for you.

Sounds like a possible worthwhile business venture for yourself, awesome.
Do you ever use venison, ostrich, turkey, buffalo, or are those to expensive?
I saw some venison steaks in the grocery the other day, they were $34 for a few small steaks.
I need to source some venison from some local hunters I guess.
Does fattier meat work better? Venison is lean, so maybe a whole different beast to tackle.
Anyway, sounds fun, have fun beating your meat, or whatever.

I got a dehydrator for Christmas and have been making jerky from ground beef.
Yup, ground beef.
I will send you some of mine, just PM me where to send it. I will make two new flavors by the end of the week. You can send me back what you make.
It's been fun trying new recipes and Ive found that using ground beef just makes it easier for a beginner with no smoker, plus I can make beef sticks.
Send me a message,

Venison jerky done right is really, really fucking good.
I've also had some killer buffalo jerky. Turkey jerky can suck it. Ostrich is oily and gamey, blegh

Try slicing up a roast or something. It's gotta be better than ground beef. You could just try slicing it up, marinating the strips, then dehydrating. Do it now and post high definition photographs of the process and results.

Im on the fence with this one. I have has great jerky made from solid muscle meat and I have had really bad jerky made the same way. So far all of the jerky I've made from ground beef has been great. Plus you can add high temp cheese and make pepperoni with mozzarella beef sticks. This Friday I will be making pepperoni beef sticks, hickory and teriyaki beef strips.
