Weird Mutation

Hello everyone!!
I hope it's O.K. if I post here. I know some here are very experienced so I thought you could give me some information regarding my cultivation. Also, I find this so incredible that it may even surprise some experienced micologists around here.
This is the first time I try to cultivate.
First of all, I had 4 Mazapatec jars that a girl friend gave me, fully colonized, on a fridge for 9 months. I left 3 of them settle to ambient temperature for 24hs, put the colonized substrate in a plastic tupper, covered with vermiculite (2.5mm), and left it at dark for 3 days until 25% had colonized the vermiculite's surface.
Then I proceeded to uncover it, and put it inside the 55lts case, humidity 92%, 24°C (04, November 2016) It took like 10 days to see the first primordial. By that time the substrate was all colonized (pretty much for my taste, but on other forums they said it was ok). Only 4 or 5 primordia had appeared by day 13, at 24/25°C.
7 days ago I started seeing more primordia, but everything it's like a bit slow, the growth, etc. I ventilate 3 times a day for some minutes. I colected 2 so far, and today there will be 2 more ready. The substrate is a bit contaminated. Some trichoderma, some red stuff... I'm taking it out with a sterile spoon when I can.
I know it's compromised, but I want to get as many specimens as I can, for prints, as the other jar in the fridge is the only thing I have left from this species.
And yesterday I noticed, THIS:

I mean, O.o? I've never seen anything like this, and I can't find any info about it. So now my priority number one is to get some good prints. N° two is protecting this little mutant and observe it's growth, and n°3 saving as many specimens as possible before I end up with no substrate at all (for removing every inch that I see contaminated).
Thanks to all of you for reading this.
Best regards,

The trait will not be passed on via spores. It might not even be a mutation so much as weird growth, eg a bunch of pins growing on top of each other.

I say feed it, nurture it, help it grow into the monstrosity it wants to be. then unleash mushzilla on the world!

Well just clone that fruit, Via agar if you got it or liquid culture if you dont. If it is a mutation that is the only way you can preserve it. If you grow it on agar you can see the zonations of different strains that are present if it was inoculated by spores. Any one of these strains or the combination of them are what may make this mutation.

Whoa what the hell, that looks like a pretty wicked mushroom. I've never seen anything like that. I'm not that experienced but you said it was colinizes for 9 months? Maybe the long wait time has done somthin to it, idk. Keep us updated that mutant looks sick! Keep nuturing
