I notice they are very vigorous in their growth, eventually seeming to overtake spots that used to be Cyans. Prolific fruiters too.
So i want to play with these.
I have access to near unlimited, irrigated, new uncolonized woodchip space. Miles aroud.
Pics of that later.
Im thinking,
Making PF tek jars.. this is new for me and im a bit clueless. (Whats the low down on these spawning bags?) I am certain i am going to buy bulk verm, brf, and the rest. i want to cook up all of it at once. Letting those many number of jars colonize i would want to Then spawn(?) that into some plastic bins like you would use for an SGFC but shorter; with woodchips from its new home.
Once that all colonizes up in due time, i am going to be placing it in an area with micro-climate isolation and sprinklers.
Pushing all the wood chips apart in circles, so its nothing but bare moist dirt showing. A ring. Fill that in with my tub of colonized chips. Cover with on site chips.
Repeat for hopefully 20+ "rings" in desired spots. And hope it takes and fruits this coming fall.

I would start small until you can guarantee your sterile technique is on point. With it being your first time the odds are against you. It would be rough to have all your jars contaminate.
I would start off with agar. If you are taking allenii from the wild like me, it is covered in contaminants. Search for pasty's ez agar tek and look up Roger Rabbits video on how to clone from tissue.
I was able to cut up a few allenii fruits onto agar. With all the proper sterile technique, some contaminated and some succeeded. Out of about 15 pieces of allenii, 6 made it out without contamination. Now these have been transferred to new agar plates and are looking 100% contam free.
Next step is to inoculate rye grain jars. I'd recommend these over brf but it's up to you. Once colonized you can grain to grain even larger jars or spawn bags. I'm going with alder sawdust and alder smoking chips.
PM me if you want to chat. We'll be growing the same species in the same area, using similar methods. Most growers on here are 100% indoor.
