What is your favorite grain/spawn and why?
I prefer rye but often use wbs.

My favorite so far has been whole oats. I typically buy it by the 50lb bag, lasts forever and only cost around $12 for 50lb(at a local feed store). It holds a lot of moisture and you prepare it just like wheat or rye.

I've never used oats but I know my local grain feed store has it for cheap too. Is it easy to break up when it's time to shake?

It's the easiest for breaking up of any grain I've used, I've used everything from quinoa to wheat. (corn may be even easier, but I didn't like corn)

Yeah looks perfect, and anything he posts is legit. But you can just prepare as you would rye.
