cobweb or mycelium coming through dry verm layer?

all 5 of my jars look like this on the surface, they are all at different stages of colonization ranging from 30-90%

from where I'm sitting it looks like cobweb. It's more likely for the less colonized jars to become contaminated because the mycelium hasn't quite established a dominant hold on the spawn but it's still possible for a 90% jar to contaminate. Of course the possibility significantly increases if you remove the lid.. Which leads me to my next question: Why did you remove your lids? o.o

yeh i figured it was cobweb too. just wanted to confirm i guess. And i saw fluffy stuff from the side view so decided to take the lid off for a sec and take a pic. that was the first time ive taken the lid off, to take that picture.

Ah ok. Well hey, don't chuck em just yet there's still a chance we're both wrong. It's not like more harm can come from waiting to see if it isn't cobweb. Better to be 100% before throwing away potentially healthy spawn, ya know?

The first pic middle jar could possibly be just bacterial. Might be able to salvage that one but all the others look toast
