Hello everyone, Just got two syringes of spores sent in the mail (trying to go the cheaper route this go round instead of buying expensive unreliable grow kits). I know there is a write up somewhere on this site but my question is: What can I buy from a grocery/general/hardware store to use for inoculating these spores? aka flour, rye grain/berries etc.. (I live in Japan so im sure I could find the ingredients but trying to buy off amazon/ebay no one ships here). Thank you for your help!

wild bird seed it's cheap and readilly available. follow the tek herehttps://www.shroomery.org/9032/6T-WBS-Tek-Wild-Bird-Seed-Bulk-Spawn-Preparation-Method. pressure cooker is a must have item. mainly just read and then when you think there isn't anything left to read on it double check to make sure. then do your innoc. remember the goal is not just a clean environment but a sterile one

all the responses seem like I need to buy a pressure cooker. I know its a good idea but any options without using/having to buy one? A friend told me I could just boil some water and get it really hot then "pasturize" by putting whatever it is to innoc and spawn into the water for a certain amount of time then drain.
Thanks

Welp, I can tell you that I pasteurized my first 13 jars which were nocced 3 days ago. Left em in the pot for roughly an hour and so far the general consensus is I've done fuckall to any possible contams. I'm giving them another week, maybe two (unless they show signs of course contamination before that) to do something productive and then I'm probably just going to scrap them and start over. Your best bet for complete sterilization

You place the jars in a pot with a lid. Fill with water half way up the jars. Then bring to a light boil for 90-120 minutes.
