No, it does not.
The reason that mushrooms are difficult to digest is that their cell walls are made of chitin. Chitin is a very difficult chemical to break down. That's why it's difficult to digest. It's not going to break down just by sitting out for a while.
If you want to make avoid attempting to digest chitin, you can make a tea.

Nausea is caused by serotonin receptors in your stomach. Chitin isn't unique to Psilocybe mushrooms, but regular mushrooms obviously don't cause discomfort / nausea in most people.

Nausea caused by interaction with serotonin receptors in the gut can be combatted with fresh ginger or lemon essential oil.

Nausea is caused both by serotonin and digesting the chitin. Psilocybes have a much higher chitin content than most edible mushrooms, that's why they're so tough. I've always gotten much more nausea eating mushrooms than making tea or an extract, with the later I rarely get any nausea in fact.

So has anyone tried cooking fresh shrooms to break down the chitin? Does it affect the trip?
According to Wasson, Mazatecs eat their mushrooms slowly over the course of a half hour. I'm guessing this is to reduce nausea and might give this a try next time.

Eating them slowly can help to reduce or eliminate come up anxiety, but thirty minutes isn't going to have much of an effect on nausea.
People have tried cooking them and it makes a difference, but not nearly as much as making a tea.
