Up drinking coffee and reading the shroomery/listening to music instead of getting ready for work. Short week tho hope the beer I left in my car didn't freeze.
I'm tempted to buy your vape off you OMJ but I've been doing so good not smoking. Really I'm just obsessed with buying gadgets I'll never use now, which I guess is my new addiction. Beats heroin.
Good luck with the job, but I wouldn't want to flip burgers for long. Get in school or start training for a trade.

I worked in food service for a while, don't really mind it that much
I'd like to become a Search & Rescue Officer for the Forest Service, but the problem there is that they drug test and I like my kind flowers, that's part of the reason why I came out here
I'm definitely not gonna flip burgers forever tho, I got hella ambitions

So you're not going to pursue the job you want because you want it smoke weed? That seems pretty lame.

I enjoy smoking weed
I mean yeah obviously I could quit but I just don't feel like a job should have the power to take that away from me, it's just not right
I mean it's not like I would be smoking up before going out on SAR missions but I guess it's just the principle of the matter that bothers me

Best suggestion would be to volunteer and make some connections/friends and look into adult education classes. Read free books online. See if those volunteer hours can count as credit for some sort of licensure or coursework credit that you didn't have to pay for.

Drug tests aren't meant to prevent people who use drugs to get jobs, they only stop people too inept to figure out how to spoof them.
I would say if that is a dream of yours you should spend time as an EMT or something like that. Probably hard to get into wilderness S&R with no qualifications, and I can't imagine it is the most steady work.

Eh it's not even really a long-held dream, just something I've been considering
To tell ya the truth I really have no idea what the fuck I want to do with my life
But I'm only 22 and going with the flow has worked pretty well for me so far so I'm gonna just keep on truckin'

Well keep at it. It's not like it's an unrealistic goal, and doing work you find rewarding is pretty fucking great. I always used to say "oh this job isn't so bad" but after a couple months it starts to make me miserable so it's really just a lie I told myself to get through the day.

Work is always going to be stressful and drag at times, otherwise it wouldn't be work, but there is a clear difference between work you find tolerable and work you find rewarding.

I really love working with wires and security systems and shit. It's really fun running fiber. I don't know why more people don't do it. It's a fantastic trade and you can make up to 45 an hour faster than electricians can.

Yeah and then you can hack in some backdoors and sell that to the mafia if they don't pay the bill jk
Yeah there is so much to technology and stuff these days, and so few qualified people. Everyone complains about the lack of jobs but it is really easy pickings for anyone with half a brain.

Well, one of these places pays you 12.50 an hour for a month while they do classroom training. Like full on don't know nothing. This company is a contractor for a larger corporation and just do basic install at houses that have already had service. I saw the pay scale I'm going to be on, which right out the gate they'll be training me on their security systems. In the meantime I'll be accruing experience and paid classroom hours for a license that makes me worth 35 an hour to anyone. I think this dude knows I'm going to use this job to get something else, which I'm going to do anyway, but they don't even do simple stuff like maps for construction or pre-wiring half constructed homes. They don't do any jack work or conduits in businesses or anything.
Small outfit and it's done by piecework, and they try to get you for other nickel and dime shit, so I'm going to use their equipment and ladders and moonlight as a dish technician and fix people's stuff under the table. The job really sounds like just putting the same types of equipment in at the same places they used to be. It's not hard. I think I might move up this fast. There's a fat sign on bonus since he's not paying me 12.5/hr for 160 hours. I can just work.
