So here is the situation I'm in right now:
I was given a work place where there is no ventilation and only a sliding window for air exchange and can close and lock. There is also an air-con and refrigerator in the room. I am still new to agar tissue culture. Here are some questions i would like to ask from the community:
1. What is the optimum room temperature inside an inoculating room? given i have an air-con to use.
2. what are the things i should consider when working inside an inoculating room? Is it okay to use bleach solution 10% to clean and disinfect the room? or use Lysol? ALso, I am multi task so i move in and out of laboratory should I spray myself with lysol every time i go inside inoculation room? should i place foot bath at the door? I wanted to lessen contamination if possible. can you guys give me advices. thanks.
3. After sterilizing both agar and petri dishes which is the best way to store them while waiting for the agar to be colonized? given i have fridge to use. If using fridge to store what is the optimum temperature for it? Btw im going to be using OYSTER MUSHROOM.

Yeah somehow the poster above me made enough sense of it to say what I was thinking.
Having no mushrooms experience, you're not gonna make anything worth a fuck for your "'manager" in less than a year.
Mycology isn't something your brain is already somewhat wired for. It's like nothing you've ever done before. You totally have to learn from ground zero. It doesn't happen overnight.
I'm a year in and am just now getting SLIGHTLY comfortable with my skills in this hobby. It's hard. It's real fucking hard. The real motherfuckers around here who are good, they still get problems.
Anyone can toss a football. Not everyone can hit a golf ball.
We are a different breed of people, and it takes a decent chunk of your brain energy to learn how to do this.
Good luck.
