First Grow!

Hello, fellow Shroomers! I have been a longtime lurker on the forum and I figured my first post on the forum should be a post on my first grow.
Well technically it is my second grow, but we won't talk about my failed PF tek trial (I thought it was supposed to be easy?) After failing with the PF tek I decided to skip straight to bulk and went through the process of creating a 66qt monotub.
Preparation: Day 1: Inoculated 6 qt. jars of WBS with a spore syringe
- Left to incubate in ~75 degree temperature, shaken periodically
Day 20: Jars were spawned to a 1:1:1 mix of field aged hpoo, coco coir, and vermiculite in a 66 qt sterlite mono tub
Day 24: Tub was put into fruiting conditions without a casing
Day 26: Many pins appeared and the tub was late-cased with 2 quarts of 60:40 Verm/Coir
Day 27:

Day 28:

Day 30: I began the harvest by picking some of the faster maturing fruits, I also got extremely stoned and forgot to take many pictures :roll eyes:

an interesting fused-cap mutant (had 4 or 5 of these this flush)

As of now the tub has just completed its first flush and has been excessively misted in hopes of a second. Judging by the massive shrinkage in the substrate however I am not expecting a huge result from this one flush wonder.
All in all this was one of the best outcomes I could have expected from a mono tub. I didn't get a chance to take many pictures of the first-flush harvest as I did it periodically, but it weighed out to over a Half-Pound once dried!
I was extremely impressed by the ease of using a mono tub! I think that bulk is just as easy to begin with as PF tek, if not easier. I want to thank all of you who have posted teks out here on shroomery for providing the info to make this possible, this really is a cool hobby!

the second flush will probably be bigger because the first flush was not optimal. nice job with a first tub though.
also they're not cracker dry if you got 8 ounces out of that.
the ones in the pictures below in my signature are not a half pound dry. and you can see the first flushes are done right

nice grow bro!
what was the fresh weight? cause now way is pic 2 going to equate to 2240+ grams. a dry fruit will loose at least 90% of its weight.. AT LEAST. as in 10g wet fruit will dry to less than 1g. usually..
not trying to call you out or anything just want to make sure your hard grown fruits are dried correctly. it would suck to fuck them up post harvest.. how did you dry them?

 1851 wet

from this tub which is 54quarts not a 66q tub like most people use

 Dries to 148
1851-148= 1703/1851= 92% water in this grow. 8% dry weight. this is pretty typical for me. 5.25 dry ounces from that tub, so there's no way you got 8 from yours.

sure was an 8th but i got ripped the fuck off. (i did trip tho, mind was weak back then)
lol, now that i remember the guy i got those from introduced me to the shroomery. 14years ago. damn.

As I said in my post I wasn't able to take pictures as often as I wanted to throughout the grow, and I knew I would get called out on weight but i was truly astonished as well! I can assure you all that they are cracker dry as they were dried over 16 hours on a food dehydrator. As of now I have dehydrated 7.5 ounces dry and have the last little batch on the dehydrator, so I will update on a total first flush weight when those finish

Unfortunately I have shared over 2.5 ounces of the initial picking with some particularly eager friends so that was unable to be included in the scale picture. the final dry weight looks to be 7.59 oz plus roughly 2.5 oz putting the first flush weight at around 10 ounces!
