Hello shroomery.
I've been doing some agar work and i think i have some good results. But as any newcomer I'm am in a bit of doubt so i hope some of your will be able to help me.
I have three different strains going on and they do not look a like at all. The first two are Hawaii cubes The second is Dutch king cubes started from a grain (original from a MS syringe) The last one is P. Semilanceata which is started on spores from outdoor mushrooms.
I have two plates doing really good and when i first saw something on the plate they were about 5-7 days old. They are started from MS syringe.
HW01:

HW02:

I think they all look pretty great, but it's too cottony to see where the sectors are. Or am I just not seeing it?
The first pic of these are from where they are around 10 days old from inoc. The last two pics are from today and they are around 16 days old from inoc.
DK01 - put on agar d. 11/18

The grains have been rolling around due to not being careful, so what might appear as satellite colonies i think is just myc. from that.
PS01 + 02 + 03 - inoc. date: 11/18

The last two of these are definitely contaminated but i dont know about the first one. I did use a lot of spores though.
I hope some of you can tell me that I'm on the right path. At least with the cubes.
Thanks!

Dutch King 6 o'clock looks nice. The top of 12 o'clock could be mold. I would transfer the 6 o'clock away as fast as possible.
The second/third pic of Semilanceata could be bacterial contaminated.
Good luck. Keep us posted

Okay. It unbelievable that this strain is to hard to cultivate. I'd really like to keep the strain in the collection.
Got more spores though, so I've just gotta try again if this one fails.

Yeah i guess. What subs have you tried? I'm thinking that cubes are much more thankful than semil regarding the sub-material. Maybe i just needs the kind of dirt that they originally grew it.
