Mild brain damage from the drug use? Just being frank. If you've used meth regularly you've probably done some lasting damage.
I guess the first thing to say is realise it's just your brain, that it's not reality, that it's also not your fault, at all.
It's the brain trying to function and I guess as a generator or engine of your experience it is failing to remain stable in its function, like an engine with non-firing cylinders gets physically unstable.
The brain is creating an intense picture of reality because of all sorts of conflicting signals, I imagine, within itself.
My brother is like this from ecstasy and I got it from cannabis and meth though it has drastically improved. Just totally on edge always, everything is intense. I couldn't even go outside without MASSIVE freak outs.
The only effective method of improvement is let the brain regenerate. This is a tough one, since it's usually very slow. Mushrooms are known to help. Abstaining from anything that stimulates the brain will definitely help. Maybe things that calm it down? Very mild antipsychotic use? Don't go on a full dose, it will just make life completely boring.
'Course that's short term, because antipsychotics are known to degenerate brain tissue.

Value honesty to yourself and learn to express your emotions verbally to yourself without physically becoming violent or aggressive and feelings the sensations of rage.
Try to judge yourself without labeling bipartisan differences, just label what you genuinely think and feel is the truth.

Can I just empathise with you and say I've wanted, on and off, sometimes quite randomly through the day, to kill myself for 10 years.
Obviously I didn't.
And I'm so glad... Life is just amazing. It hides behind poor brain function, but if you get your brain right, and sometimes psychedelics can help, it is a really worthwhile experience, being here, in this body, living these lives.
I think it began with small doses of mushrooms. My brain really started to improve. Mushrooms can cause a catharsis.

Have a good read. We all have bad times in childhood, no parents are perfect. But maybe some of us with disorders had a REAL rough time, and we forgot about it.

OP - have you ever tried Yoga Nidra?
Also, I would recommend adding inhale 4->exhale 8 count for a breathing exercise. Extending the breath strengthens your vagus nerve, which stimulates the parasympathetic response.
