Quick agar question

So I have been working with agar for a few months now and have just recently ran into some major contam problems with every transfer I do. I'm using pasty plates and I am under the assumption it is my potatoe flakes are old but my untapped plates aren't growing any thing. So my next assumption is I'm just transfering some contams and I feel like maybe they will go away if I catch the mycellium before the contams get worse. I snatch a piece of clean tissue every time but there is just so much contam.
So I guess my question is if you read all of that. Do I just need to keep making transfers to get rid of the contain?

If you UN inoculated plates are fine then that's not the problem Eh.
I assume your transferring mycelium that has mold intertwined in it.
pic would help

Yeah I think your right my last plate probably grew out to much but I thought taking the transfer from the oppsite end of the plate would be safe.

Is that green on your plate my phone sucks hard to tell.
When your problems started did you transfer from a plate with green on it?

My thought is that he had a plate contam on him. It sportulated and while he was doing his transfer spores got knocked around possibly to the new agar.
He said he let one grow out so the contain is possibly intertwined in the myc.
Must of figured it was clean and transfer a bunch

Thats just some bacteria honestly the way it looks is either youre not waiting long enough after the spray or you need to wipe your handle off really good try holding the plate upside down in your sab ... you can clean that up man

9-11 o clock small transfers and you'll get that clean good luck.

I agree. Not too far gone yet. I've isolated away from much worse.
Be serious about your sterile tek and you can get away from that.
Are you switching your agar type up at all? I've found a change of agar nutrients can help in isolating away from nasties.
Sometimes the change in medium can give mycelium a chance to outrun the contamination a bit.
I'd like to say that it's a bit of luck that's needed as well...
Keep trying brother-you'll grab it soon. I've had some tricky ones as well from some recent syringes I got...

Lol thanks for all the input. The only thing iv changed was I made 2 batch one with karo and one without. Using the pasty plate recipe and forgot to add that so I made a second batch. Lol I have more fun messing with the agar than my tubs.
Maybe I need to wait a little longer. I most soapy water on the sab almost like I would a tub or cakes.
I recall letting my myc touch some green shit and thought I could just transfer from the other side of it
