help id possible stropharia caerulea or aeruginosa
    #23851518 - 11/20/16 01:19 PM (7 years, 2 months ago)

Found near Seattle in cemetery lawn under conifer. Low altitude, growing in soil near base of tree and cone litter.

Found in semi-dried condition shown.

Caramel colored gills, unable to obtain spore print due to dried condition.

Cap metallic with blue greenish hue, not from bruising.

Stem and cap readily staining a light blue where bruised - interestingly, not the deep midnight blue of wavy caps, but more of a sky or royal blue.

Hoping someone can tell me more. I'm leaning toward caerulea. does anyone have experience with those? id'ing and/or eating?

Thanks in advance!!!

It is one of them, yes. A young, fresh specimen is best if you want to get closer to species.

No, and I'm not going to either. They are neither hallucinogenic nor edible.
