Not sure what these are but they do not look like a Psilocybe sp. to me due to cap color, cap texture, and overall stature. Reminds me of an Agrocybe sp. but the gill color seems off. Maybe Leratiomyces or deconica or some other oddball genus.

I'm no expert and not disputing what leschampignons said but I've never seen anything quite like those and will say they do appear to have at least some of the characteristics commonly found in actives. With that many at hand, I'd at least want to know what they are before moving on ...just my two cents.
See if you can get a definitive id. A good start would be a spore print; I have a feeling it will be purple black but see how it comes out and report back.

Spore print was black.
Here's a better closer picture:

The large mushroom top left in the first picture on the original post looks metallic blue to me. It would be interesting to know whether they're growing out of the wood or soil. Cool picture!

For what it's worth, they don't look like cyans to me.

I'm new to this, so I'm inclined to believe you.

Thanks! I'm not sure which they were growing out of :/ but maybe this other picture will help identify them?

Was it jet black ...as in like soot? Angler is probably right but a pic of the gills couldn't hurt if you have the time.
