Fire is the transformation of matter (on the molecular, atomic, nuclear or subatomic level) that releases energy.
Fire is a metabolizing process, just like that exists in a human being or other lifeform.
Whether your flame is a star, a nuclear explosion, a bolt of lightning, a human being, a burning candle or rusting iron, it is a being.
If you start the fire and support the fire, the spirit of that fire owes its earthly existance to you and therefore is in your debt.
For this reason it is fruitful to practice Pyromancy, communicating with the spirit of the flame, particularly if you were the one lighting it.
One can ask it a question, or make a wish.
A folk magic form of pyromancy is to strike a match and converse with the flame until it is extinguished. The same can be done with candle flames and with campfires.
The ancient Chinese made fireworks for that purpose, to drive off foul spirits with the spirits they raised with their flames and explosions.
I commonly employ the year round legal low noise firework known as the Pili Cracker, a childrens firework that goes of with a crackling, a series of small explosions, each of which setting a spirit free. I also prefer firecrackers. ground blossom flowers (the spinning lotus fireworks) sparklers and rockets for this purpose outdoors, and matches and candle flames indoors.
Its an interesting to practice and work with and can produce striking results.
Its a form of Alchemy, and as a Fire Elemental and Sulfur element I am greatly drawn to it.
Have fun with that.

Hypothesis- With the right materials and the right tools, Fireworks could be given labeled a healer? Theory- If had an alarm made of firecrackers, that woke me up in the morning, I'd be 2x as aware as I am now.

Interesting you post this I am reading a book entitled The Teachings of the Peyote shamans and they speak about and pray to "Grandfather Fire". They also have a sacred fire they use during their peyote ceremonies and they teach participants to never leave the ring of light produced by the fire, because inside that ring they are protected.

1) Fire is not a transformation of matter nor does fire release energy. Fire is a physical manifestation of a chemical process (combustion through heat energy in this case); fire itself does not cause warmth. Warmth and fire are both by-products of this chemical transferrence)
2) Fire is not a process. Again, it is a physical manifestation of a chemical process.
Just as we, humans, are physical manifestations of chemical processes (cell division, fission/fusion, energy conversion, and so on).
I work with fire on a small crew who applies it to the land. Fire is as equally destructive as it is rejuvenating. It is one of the great equalizers. Here in northern CA, our landscape (the animals, plants, etc.) have all adapted (dare-say evolved over the last few thousands of years) to REQUIRE fire for the healthiest ecosystem possible. My own mental state is highly affected by fire or a lack of fire. For true beauty and awe, one should look into Pyroclastic storms associated with wildfires (and volcanoes, i think)
