Man everytime i go through mush cult to see who i can help. Every kid has "grow kits". I dont get why people are so lazy. If you put in just a little effort you can get all the supplies you need from local stores. Dont fall for vendor hype on pre sterilized grain. Just a scam. All you gotta do is follow the brf pf tek to a t (RR videos) make yourself a sgfc and thats it! Btw ill be posting my final dry weight later today.

I decided to try something with the Albino tub. Its been over 2 weeks and isnt colonizing the casing. I opened it up and it just smells like mushrooms. No sweet or sour smells. I scraped off the casing and broke up the 3 inch substrate so it has to recolonize itself and i misted the walls and surface to help it out. I put it back into colonization mode. Not sure if itll work but it doesent hurt to find out. Hopefully itll come back but well see.

Heres some more Brazil....

I bet it definitely was the overly wet sub. I have had a shit load of contam problems over the last few months and I just finally got a tub going well and I think it has something to do with me making my sub more on the dry side rather than overly wet like I had been doing.  GL with your grows man

Yeah i believe franks easy coir prep is out of date. Unless his coir bricks have more coir in them than mine but 5 qts of water is way too much. Im gonna try less water in my next grow. Thanks man

I thought 4 quarts was the standard...
Does his coir tek actually say 5?

EDIT
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11916595
This is the tek most people are following for coir prep these days
Since I've been here you've been the first person I've noticed who has mentioned following franks tek

Personally I use 4.5 tho

An overly wet sub does not cause trich..dirty spawn does.

As for franks tek this is the reason no matter what any tek says i say fuck the math and get my hands dirty and check myself.
