Ive been away for a few days but my Brazil tub is looking very good since ive put it into fruiting. The bottom polyfill holes have small rings around them and the top holes have way bigger rings so i know the tub is doing what its suppose to be doing

Im a little concerned about my Albino tub tho. Its been 7 days since i cased it and theres 0 spots of mycelium popping through, its 0% colonized. When i cased it the substrate looked 100% and the casing layer is from the same batch i used for the Brazil tub. Im thinking the casing for the Brazil was from the top of the bucket and the Albino was from the bottom of the bucket. Maybe i didnt evenly saturate it? Ill wait another week and if theres still 0 growth ill toss it. Note to self....less water for casing layers

Is your albino tub in fruiting conditions?

No i was letting it colonize 20% of the casing layer then fruit it.

Just fruit it man. No need to go to extremes and toss it cause it won't colonize your casing
Technically it's 100% colonized.

Yeah but if its not colonizing the casing it means theres something going on that i cant see. Im not tossing it yet tho

Yes the bottom may be colonized but if i expose the uncolonized casing layer to fae it could lead to a contamination. Im gonna keep my eye on it. It could simply be a slow colonizer but well see. I wrapped a blanket around it to get it a little warmer

The Brazil tub looks a few days away from pinning so stay tuned. Not sure about Albino but atleast i cant see or smell a contam.

Your casing layer shouldn't contam. It's a casing layer. If you introduce it yo FAE it will induce pinning if anything

It seems like my casing was oversaturated and stalled the tub but it could just be a slow colonizer. I like my mycelium to have some kind of a foot hold on the casing layer so a contam wont happen. I know most people fruit it as soon as they case it but i dont like doing that. Ill give it another week and if nothing happens then my bet is an overly wet casing.

Fruiting will also help dry it out if need be. Just:2cents:
I'll stop pushing it now.

What have you really got to lose?
That's how I see it. You have everything to gain by fruiting right now.
Chanced of contam caused by fruiting are slim to none. If your tub contams it's because of something that's already going on in there

I make sure my substrate is at field capacity so when it colonizes. All walls of my container are saturated with condensation. I never really have drying out issues. Will update in a few days.
