Soaking the grains before spawning and adding gypsum will definetly decrease my colonization times by the way. So this is gonna be an interesting grow.

The Albino tub is recovering nicely and showing good mycelium growth. The Brazil tub is having a fast recovery too. Heres the albino tub

Sorry guys i dont wanna open the tub just for a pic and mess up the internal temp/humidity. I will take better pics when i case it.

The tubs recovered nicely and are on their way to full colonization. The Brazil is catching up to the Albino. Its gonna be interesting to see which finishes 1st. Heres the Albino tub

Heres the Brazil

Sorry for the bad pictures but i'm not opening a colonizing tub just for a picture. When i case it ill get way better pics

These tubs are colonizing fast! Theyre almost done and ready to be cased. Heres a picture of the Brazil tub.

And heres the Albino

I can see mycelium reaching up in the air on the Brazil substrate. Hopefully these guys will finish in the next few days.

How many days apart were these tubs again?
It would be neat if you cased them both the same day and they fruited at roughly the same time. Just proof that Brazil colonization times live up to the hype

Btw sorry I'm not good enough for ya. If it's any consolation I've been following along and rooting for ya in my head:shrug:

I always love seeing someone grow with proper supplies rather then some ghetto set up with aluminum foil jar lids. You really gotta study if you want to properly grow mushies with success. But thanks for the support

WOW I a very impressed with the speed of those Brazilians! This looks great I have two tubs going now myself GT and PE6...The GT is unbeleivably fast colonizer, the funny thing is the PE6 is insanely aggresive as well, but these GT's are on steroids or something!!

I wanna see the Brazilizns finish first, and if so I will be swiping a plate that day. Ive just been sleeping on my BRZ print while i run these other varieties.

Good luck, Cant wait to see the results!:jah:

Moab- you shuld run side by sides with the Texas Yellow Cap and the PE6...I remember reading RR used a Texas Oarnge cap or (Red cap? cant remeber exactly) to cross with PE to make the PE6. But the PE6 have for the most part retained its original Texas look. It would be interesting to see the two next to one another!

I would highly recommend the Brazilian strain, very good colonizer. Its the normal brazil strain, not corumbo or however you spell that other strain.

What does it mean when you see mycelium reaching in the air? Is it just something it normally does? It doesent look or smell like a contamination. Im not too worried about it i just wanted to know. I only see a little spot doing this
