My wrong constructed minitub is colonized, can i save it?

I forgot to drill the upper holes, i only drilled the ones that are on the substrate level. But the problem is that i already spawned 8 brf cakes to coco coir/verm 3 days ago and it looks fully colonized. Is there any way i can save this?
Maybe drill holes in the lid? i have an extra lid that i can use so the tub doesnt need to be uncovered during the drilling. What options do i have?
And i guess my second question is, is this possible to be fully colonized after 3 days with BRF? The substrate depth is about 2 inches, it is a minitub.

You can try melting something through if your worried about plastic getting all in your tub. Or tape a liner all the way around on the inside to catch the shavings. Brush them away from the edges, then pull the tape

Yes ive had substrates APPEAR fully colonized 2 days later a couple of times, but I guarentee its not completly colonized yet but your on a good road
I'd leave the holes and drilling alone and just flip your lid upside down for fruiting and tight polyfill on your bottom holes
And next time do grain or oats to bulk

I'd fruit it as is then once this tub is done or at least the first flush drill the top holes. Or use a soldering iron to melt the top holes.
I use tubs without holes at all and they do well since you don't have a gasketed lid you'll be alright.

Your 'problem' has a easy solution. Drill the holes... What's the issue?
Or do unmodified tub like bodhistta does.
