No problem. I have seen similar looking plants labelled peruvianus. But to me they look more cuzco. They get lighter green in color when grown outdoors.
If it is cuzco then it is probably weak, similar to pc pachanoi.

My first idea was Stetsonia Coryne..
But the more I look at the spination and the V-notches the more I doubt.

Yes look at the v notches and large shield like arioles. I have seen cuzco/peruvianoids with that brown color on new spines. You see the large spine that is emerging at the top is even honey colored at the base. Color is very dark green but it looks like an indoor plant or one that has not been exposed to much direct sunlight to lighten the color.

I'm guessing S coryne as well, saw one at a nursery that was about 3 feet tall, had the longest angriest blackest spines of any cactus I've ever seen. A very cool plant, I'm going to take better care of mine next spring.

PC pachanoi aren't weak. I believe they are more consistent in potency than most uf us think. Just use 3-4 inch more than you would with a potent non-PC. Most reports concerning PC-pach say that two feet do the trick nicely.
T.cuzcoensis is propably very weak. Even experienced users say that these plants are not worth the effort. I have a few plants that I believe are T.cuzcoensis, I'm eager to eat one of those to see for myself:
Cuzco, cuzco:
..
And Stetsonia for reference:

Just the ribbed columnar ones - all look the same to me.

This plant was labelled as peruvianus but I believe that it is cuzcoencsis.

I find the similarity with the poster's plant to be quite close. I'm not the expert in plant identification that many on this forum are... and I enjoy learning from those who know more.
Around here pc pachanoi is extremely weak, and an extra 3 or 4 inches wont do much good. The cuzcoencsis in my photos is also quite weak and on par with local pc pach.
