I love eating goats!

I have a 9 month old goat that is a steak, marinating in pineapple teriyaki sauce. Can't wait.
Goats are somewhat easy animals to deal with, versus cows. They weight about 700 pounds less. Also a lot less calories and far less saturated fat and cholesterol. Very high in protein. About only thing better in health stats is lobster. I like lobster too, but live far from the sea.
Goat goes great with seasonings. From chili to tacos it's all great with goat!
Makes a nice low calorie cheeseburger too.

Ya like nobodies home but the universe. Kinda a rectangle.
Their kids are cool, like hyper puppies.
Goat is my favorite red meat anymore. Not that I am turning down beef grain fed ribeye steak.

mmm. ribeye. Let me ask you - what's it like to hear a goat yell like a human? from what I hear, when they get startled they sound just like a human but I have never heard it in real life. Is it weird?

They don't sound like a human or a dog. More like sheep.
They associate sorta like a dog. They love animal crackers and feed. Like hay too.
They can be a real pain in the ass or very compliant.
Strange creatures.

Very strange indeed. But their titties create some great cheese.

Ya goat cheese is better than store bought goat milk. Goat cheese pizza? Oh ya!
They can get mastitis. A disease of the titties.
Seen enough goat milk for awhile. It's an extra chore to milk meat goat jugs. Usually cause drying them out or a problem.
The first meat goat in the states went for about 100k. Some goats sell for a lot of cash.

I've learned more about goats in the last 10 minutes than I have in the entirety of my life leading up to the last 10 minutes. Haha, I love this site. You never know what you're going to come across by browsing the random forums. Here's to never contracting mastitis! Cheers.

ERS? Erect-Nipple Syndrome? An older gentleman I work with has daily titty hard-ons. This could be a sign of mastitis. He should check with his doctor to see if Titiagra is right for him.
*side effects include sudden stroke, malformation of the mangina, death, and nippular discharge*

Internal utter rot.
Smells nasty. So does hoof rot.
All the dirty nasty work makes eating them all the less painless for me.

Goats are terribly fucking radical, top notch critters in my book. I used to have some help at my pub from Jamaica and those dudes love some goat and bud light. I purchased two goats a few years back myself and ate them up, yummmmmm! I also dig the eyes, I am always reminded of Satan, probably some weird thing from my time as a hard core baptist while I was young. Plus how many creatures make great brush hogs and provide yummy food and milk? (Yes cows, but they are cumbersome, stinky creatures. Not nearly as adept to clearing an Ozark mountain side) Eat more goat 2017

I dunno. A buck can be mighty ripe in rut. They have that urine fetish. Drinking piss from them-self or a girl then curling their upper lip. Strange creatures indeed.

It'd be fun to have some domestic white tails.

Deer?
There's a rain deer farm not a far drive from me. At least it used to be there.
I love a good venison as well.
I'd like to try some goat jerky or goat sticks, sometime. But it takes a lot of meat to dry up to make those. Goats pricey. Cost about $95 from the farm to the packaged up per goat. Then our goats are worth a good bit a piece. Gonna take 3 or 4 to auction soon, after their balls fall off. Hoping we get close to $400 a piece. Who ever eats em is gonna love em!

Goat is good. Grilled goat ribs tastes awesome. I've eaten a fair amount of goat and even slaughtered a few. Goat is probably my favorite stewing meat. Just wish there was more meat on them. Enjoy your goat.

sounds awesome. BTW, i have a customer who keeps an outdoor marine pond in his yard with a maine lobster in it. It's lived through 2 years already in a shallow pond in southern california. Obviously, it would be more at home in colder water, so i imagine anyone could do it if they wanted to.

Morel were those boer goats? There is a farm nearby they sell animals. I have gotten goats from them to slaughter. We split a goat with another family. They are not big. Half a goat lasts my family 1 or 2 months. Ribs are my favorite grilled they taste so good and just need salt. Back and shoulder is good for stew.

Ya it's all boer goats. A 9 month old wether gives about 45 to 50 lbs.
I gotta try the ribs. The butcher asked me if I wanted ribs and I never had them so said no. Just got roast, burgers, stew, ground, chops & steaks.
Got some stew meat in the crock right now. Gonna add low sodium taco spice and break it all up. Flour tortillas with the spiced meat with fresh salsa!
