Habitat: woods, grows on sandy soil, chaparral
Gills: yellow pores (attached?)
Stem: off white to pale yellow, medium thickness, solid, 2 in. tall
Cap: Diameter: 3 in, color: light brown, rusty red, white inside, texture: soft, silky, spherical, convex, not completely uniform
Spore print color:
Bruising: none
Other information: Scent of the mushroom: sweet, smells good edible Bolete?

This last one is something else, just wanted to show how trippy it looked...

Looks like you have a couple to a few different types of mushrooms in your picture.the one in the top left corner looks like it may be a Leccinum sp. Did you find it growing with madrone? Did you find all the mushrooms together? Trees can be really helpful helping to identify the types of boletes you may come accross. The one with the irregular/bulbous stipe is probably Boletus Edulis or something similar. I would take clear photos and closeup of the pores, stipe, and top of the cap. Without encouraging you to eat an unidentified mushroom, I would say most are likely edible but wait for a TI to confirm. Did any bruise blue or red?

Looks like Boletes to me too, the foam-like "gills" and the cap color, plus the size and shape.
