The ONLY countries in the world that allow the death penalty for apostasy are all Muslim dominant.

There are thirteen:

Afghanistan, Iran, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritania, Nigeria, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

All of these countries, except Pakistan, allow for capital punishment against apostasy, while Pakistan imposes the death penalty for blasphemy - including a disbelief in God.

If you were a Muslim in one of those countries, it would be very difficult to publicly leave the faith without dire consequences.

But hey - not a scary religion.

    1. that's 13/50 muslim majority countries

    2. between those 13 governments in 2 decades 4 ppl have been put to death

    3. is this "being killed for not converting?"

    nope it's the opposite

i agree the condemnation of apostasy is an ugly fact of islam i believe in freedom of religion. capital punishment seems rarely practised though and will not make me drag a quarter of the world's population embodying diverse iterations of the religion (some of which dont punish apostasy) through the mud or think them somehow lower than the rest of us..

especially where historically we all did it and still today in countries like china you will disappear for denouncing the party or in thailand for disrespecting the king.. doesnt seem a uniquely muslim thing

:monkeydance:

I literally showed you verses from Deuteronomy that commanded the faithful to beat their loved ones to death with rocks (and to do it more vigorously than everybody else) if they rejected Christian gospel.  Psychotic Christians are a far greater threat in this country than psychotic Muslims.  Christian militias pay a premium for combat training (whether or not the curriculums are very well put together).  There's a reason why Islamic militias don't train in the US while Christian ones can nonchalantly head out for Frontsight seminars.

I would hope there's more psychotic Christians than psychotic Muslims in the US considering they out number them 70 to 1.  Do you have any more insightful comments?

I don't deny the fact that all three Abrahamic religions are wacky and I defend none of them, but now show me actual modern state-sanctioned laws on the books that endorse death for the sin of Christian apostasy.

Your argument seems to be founded on the premise that death is a punishment. I'm not sure that premise is universally accepted, particularly by those of the Abrahamic religions.

If the afterlife is so awesome, denying someone the death penalty is a far worse punishment.

If I don't believe in heart disease, does that mean that I can eat a pound of bacon a day without consequences?

These wonderful people are helping the infidels by sending them somewhere far better than Earth.  Who are you to judge that?

Yes. If there is one thing I have learned here is that reality comports to one's internal landscape and not the other way around. :yesnod:

Now that I cook my bacon in the oven, a pound a day isn't any harder than two strips a day.  I've found that my quality of life is directly proportional to my cholesterol level.

well this law doesnt even apply to you so i dont see what you are so scared about..

Keeping Muslims out of the West != fear of Muslims

It doesn't, but fear of muslims is the primary reason for the desire to keep muslims out of the west.

Fear is also the reason why we have a military, police force, guns and locks on our doors.

You're bullshitting. The primary reason to keep Muslims out of the West is because Muslim immigrants lower the native standard of living severely everywhere they go.

I'm pretty sure that I'm driving down the property value for the Syrians who live across the street from me.
