Today a female friend came over and we did a little architectural sightseeing in the town where I live now. At some point we went to a café for some hot drink There was a sturdy guy sitting in the middle of the room with a notebook on, he seemed to be noting something, but each time we talked he looked over as if he was suspicious about us watching him. Which we actually didn't, we are pretty tolerant and there was none less interesting in that room. So he might have been paranoid.
The other thing that happened was me getting a tad bit paranoid about him noting every thing we said or searching for some text to tell the world "HEY WORLD! HERE I AM BLOGGING ABOUT PEOPLE WHO VISIT THE BAR THAT I'M FREQUENTING ALL BY MYSELF" I mean honest to god, what is it with those guys?!

What's a sturdy guy?
Sounds like when a fat girl calls herself thick, can't stand that, like accept the fact that you're fat, go on a diet, exercise, stop using the word thick when you're just overweight in all the wrong places.

It is nothing but mind tricks, But then again is it so wrong, because you are now writing about it just as he was perhaps? HAHA I also get that feeling of being watched at times but to be honest, I have tried to observe it more now and test it found out no one gives a shit what your doing . The people that do are probably people like us and just intrigued. If you where being watched you must be interesting take it as a positive its all how your outlook is.

The furniture, the food, some friends... I felt like he was very interested in emotional details. For example we talked about a friend and, you know there are people listening, so you don't necessarily tell embarrassing details in front of everybody because you never know who's listening, maybe the person sitting next to me knows the person I'm talking about. Had some bad experiences to learn from. It felt like I had his brain squirming under the tension between boredom and excitement.
I just find guys creepy who sit in bars with their notebooks on like it was their hobby.

Maybe that was his hobby
I know it's not the most polite thing to do, but I love listening to conversations in public. I try to do it completely non-judgmentally though, and whenever I can stop myself from analyzing the intellectual side of what is being said, I often feel a deep reservoir of connection and compassion by listening to them.
It's also a great way to study humanity, to find out what drives us and motivates us from the mundane to the deeply personal.
But I try not to be creepy about it. I am sometimes that guy with the notebook though, so from the other side, let me just say 'hello, we're not here to ruin your afternoon with your friend'.
