Why does a sub trich after spawning but not just sitting there unpasteurized?
    #23842716 - 11/17/16 05:31 PM (7 years, 2 months ago)

I made up 15 tubs worth of sub hpoo/coir verm and gypsum ... its not to field capacity but is wet and like 4 tubs woryh has been sitting awhile in a closed tub... no mold no trich.... i know dirty spawn with cause that but you would think it would mold out by itself?? Anyone has an answer for this ?

Doubt it. I used to leave leftover hpoo at FC in my tub when it didn't have room to get pasteurized. Shit was sometimes not used for a month at least on some occasions, and it didn't mold. Not even once.

It takes 62 days for c/v/g to mold by itself  and cobweb only...

Ya but hpoo on its own? How come pasteurizing it and adding spawn makes it so weak to mold?

Yep hpoo by itself. That's all I use these days. No verm/gypsum or anything. Fuckin love the stuff. Got a few pastures full of it

And because grains are like mold/bacteria magnets. Full of nutes with no microbial content.

Manure nutritional content

Couldn't additives be added to coir to bring it's nutritional value up to par with hpoo?
