Out of fear of death?
For parents, children, hobbies, highs?

Right now I live out of fear of death

I got done with the whole fear of death thing a few years back after 8 years focusing on that little bastard of a conundrum. Right now I live to grow (emotionally/spiritually/etc). Coincidentally, that growth started about the same time as I started to notice my body begin to age physically.

One more fucking paradox for the list.

Thankfully, I still know how to live to fucking party like a wildman, and to bond with my fellow human; I hope death takes me quick if I ever let go of that particular skill...

Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not.

Right now I'm mostly living for the hope that life won't suck ass eventually. And for the animals, the critters, the pets, the rocks, and the pet rocks.

For fear of not accomplishing as much as I am capable of. Death doesn't bother me, dying before accomplishing a lot in the business/tech world is what I fear. I feel like if I died right at nineteen, my life would have been perfectly balanced between time spent here on earth and accomplishments. Now I don't feel as confident, so I live to win in the business/tech world.

I feel similarly. I hope to live near to my full potential in this life. Has very little to do with technology tho.

Yep... it is cold out here, and if you by chance make it big at a young age people will give you endless amounts of shit if you don't handle it with grace. It is nice seeing small positive changes occur in the world by your hand, though.

You can say that again. I've accomplished a whole fuck ton in that world and it amounts to exactly = fuck all (in terms of what I feel really matters).

I mean someone needs to do it. It just sounds lifeless to me. Or perhaps life-sacrificing.

I seek to find meaning where there is none. My world has no source of inspiration at this point in time. Drugs have exaggerated this, but it has always been an issue.

not sure...I guess the basic instinct to stay alive like most living things. The past little while I've been asking myself that question.
Maybe music?

the question makes some people uncomfortable.
Many substitute a God written in by dead men for this void, some substitute it with hard drink.

I cant escape it.

Crack rocks.

I live to make people happy if I'm honest. I like making people smile, laugh, and experience joy.

I'm going to school next year to do my prerequisites for a chiropractor program and then chiro school.

Music. I'm staying alive until I make enough music that perfectly captures who I am and what I have to give to the world. Then I'll be content to die. I don't fear death.

Music is a great pursuit.
So is spreading joy.
I liked to say I lived for the adventure, and to some extent that is still true. Why then has the adventure gotten harder to grasp?

I agree with both. I try to make people happy too and do nice things for others. It usually end up with people taking advantage of me but oh well.

Hell yeah it does, for the first 5-10 trips I did I would get stuck in a thought loop about this and always woke up the next day thinking about that. But I live to prove everybody wrong, a fuck you to all the people who said I won't or I can't. That's what pushes me out of bed everyday

There's a way to do it without losing who you are. You have to really work on yourself.

At the moment mainly to jump out of planes as stupid as that probably sounds, didn't realize how much of a depression/slump I've been in until a single experience in particular  and ever since I actually have something to look forward to and something that makes me incredibly happy. No longer feel like I'm living on autopilot. Everyday was just a chore and I felt apathetic towards everything, emotionless, didn't see a point to anything, and now I can't wait till weekends and have been making a shit ton of new friends because of it. Even if I can't jump I still can't wait to go to the dropzone anyway just because of the awesome people who are always there and hanging out after hours talking and having fun over a few beers, even slept there a couple times lol, much different then the usual assholes I deal with in construction and in everyday life. It's almost the only thing I think about anymore and as of now the only thing keeping me going.

I live for the chance to reproduce and continue my lineage. My father provided for my family and I hope to provide for mine someday. I have some big shoes to fill.
