Time for pins-to-fruit?
    #23840863 - 11/17/16 07:36 AM (7 years, 2 months ago)

Hey there guys,

My first pins appeared about 4 days ago. B+ strain with SGFC (2x2 grid, 1/4in holes). Typically, how long do pins take before they are full grown fruits?

It depends on the conditions and genetics. 4 - 14 days.
Usually about a week.

Based on my searches and limited experience, i would say b+ might be slower to grow from pins. So far mine have taken 8 days to go from pin to full grown but mine were doing this thing where they stayed small forever and then out of nowhere they would just grow like crazy.

This massive B+ tray took 6 days from initial fruiting to first flush. This pic was 2nd flush picked 22 days after initial fruiting. The only noticeably slow fruiter IME is PE.

I've literally never seen mushrooms confine to a schedule. Every grow is different. I once did 10 trays of OI, and all of them fruited at different rates. I was picking new mushrooms literally every day for a few weeks. Judging off of strain name isn't how ya judge genetics/conditions (the ultimate decider of fruiting).

Thanks for the info, man. I do seem to be in a stage where many small pins are forming, but not much individual growth on those pins yet.

I love your signature, dude. Every time you post, that ocean wave blows me away. What are those petri dishe's, anyway?

Once u see bb-sized pins, fruits are real close!

Couple days to a week. Sometimes just one day is needed.
