Yes.
You can wire a houseplant up to an Arduino w/ speakers and listen to it sing.. and if you pinch it, you can hear it scream.

Yeah plants feel pain. My erythroxylum long gone now never recovered from my exwife breaking it in half. It slowly died over a weeks time. Remember the disney movie "Ferngully the last rainforest" with all the little fairies. One fairies says "cant you feel its pain?" Right then there i started to believe every life feels some sort of pain.

A guy - I´ve forgotten his name - wrote a book in the 1970s - The Secret Life of Plants - where he (claimed he) did a lot of experiments wiring plants up to equipment like a lie detector and measuring their responses. Might be total BS but an interesting read.

yes indeed.
you can interpret the noises how you want; but keep in mind this instructable was to make it sing, not cry.

Given plants do not have brains, esp. brains of that of a mammal, it is hard to say exactly what they feel. All we really know is that they do indeed feel in their own way. I'd assume it's primarily physical, but I'm sure there is some type of plant emotion at work.
