agar plate not pc'd fast enough

Yesterday I made a bunch of pasty plates, but then I had to leave the house and didn't get back in time to pc them yesterday, and now upon inspection I see a bit of white growth growing on surface. So I'm wondering should I just trash them and star over or will the pc kill everything living, and they'll be fine to work with?

They will be sterilized and nothing alive will be left after PC'ing, however those white spots will likely remain and will keep you confused about future contaminations. I would personally re-use them, but some would restart, up to you. Either way will be fine.(<-- this sentence based on actual experience)

Don't forget to wait for a Trusted Cultivator. I am not worthy of a "cool thanks" as if this is case-closed.

Also, out of pure curiosity; Is the white growth a sort of slime? Or small white scattered spots? Or is it slightly fuzzy? What else can you see? I must know.

I agree with the above poster (who btw has been a trustworthy adviser for years) in that the p.c will kill the mold, the only problem I see is that the mold will still be there after the pc and may make it harder to see other stuff on the plates.
I'd just do it again.
Edit: yeah, could be mold or bacteria, I see you didn't specify. The most common bacteria you see is usually yellowish though.

Well the spots were white, they resembled myc spots. I went ahead and pc'd after posting, so I guess it will be fine or worst case scenario an interesting experiment. Really that's what all this shit is about anyway right?
