Habitat: In soil mixed with wood chips, appeared to be growing on the chips.
Gills: Light tan
Stem: 1.5", light tan with small white stripes
Cap: 2" diameter, conical, light tan middle and darker around the edge
Spore print color: In progress, will post when complete (if needed)
Bruising: Blue-green bruising around the very edge of the cap, but no bruising on the stem.
Other information: Kind of smells like dying flowers? Not your typical "white button" mushroom smell. Pics below. Thanks in advance!

They look more like Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata in my opinion. What color is the spore print? Do you have a picture of the bluing?

I see bluing on the ring and around the margin in the picture of the harvested mushroom. They are pretty chunky for stuntzii I guess, but I expect more blue on Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata , but it is a possibility for sure. You should print them if you haven't OP.

The gills look super light for stuntzii and the stems are really fat, I also thought stuntzii had reddish stems- that's why my guess is ovoids.

Guzman writes on P. stuntzii:
Gills: "Lamellae adnate or sinuate or adnexed. yellowish brown at first, soon violet brown or chocolate brown to blackish violet, uniform or somewhat mottled, with whitish edges
Stem: "white or whitish silky to ochraceous or brownish fibrillose"
I agree with ambc in seeing blue tinges around the cap margin and possibly also on the annulus, however the picture is grainy.
Apart from that, I can't place a safe bet on either suggestions.

Hi all, I appreciate the input.
Bluing is on both the caps and stems of the older fruits, and seemingly only on the caps of the newer fruits. Spore print is purple-brown. Pics below.

Shameless self bump #2: found around 15 more specimens. Bottom one is a different species I believe (90% sure it's not active.) pic below.

definitely looking Ovoid. Stunztii does not have that greenish-tan color.

Bottom one looks a possible P. cyanescens. I've no experience with the other species mentioned, though.

true. the bottom does look like a dried up cyans. Cyans typically have a firm, hard stem. These stems looks more soft and fiberous.

True. It's hard to tell how the stem on the bottom one truly is from that picture, though. Not saying it is a cyan, just that the cap shape is consistent for a Psilocybe.

My first thought was cyan for that one too, can't really rule out Psathyrella from that photo though.

They look more like ovoids than anything else, but I've been wrong with my last few IDs.
