The USA has plenty of really cool states and cities as well as its fair share of crap.
I am lucky enough to live in a great state overall but I still would love to explore the rest of the world. Americans just like to assume we are the best when in reality there are better places in almost every regard.
We are just a huge country so we have a lot of the best/ worst parts of society.
for sure, and the same for other places too. Like I'd live in Oregon pretty comfortably, parts of California or Washington state, but I wouldn't want to be stuck in the middle or south, or the east coast, and similarly I liek B.C. alright but I'd hate to live in Alberta or *shudder* Saskatchewan or Manitoba....
Personally, I don't like Oregon anymore.
How would you rate Germany though? Is it a country with just less of the best/worst parts of society? What's so different about it though from the US?
I've heard good things about Germany but I don't actually know that much about it so my opinion is unformed as of yet

Are there any pros to living somewhere else besides here? Or are they all cons in comparison?
well I personally think seeing how other people in the world live can help with compassion and make you more humble. Also change can be really good if you are at a stagnant point in your life, and moving can give you a new start where you can create a fresh mindset. There are some pros, my experience is very subjective.
but I do really recommend going somewhere with nature and a clean place. Nothing I hate more than dirty streets and public places. The US only has that in the bigger cities.

As long as you are wealthy you can have it pretty sweet anywhere
Someplaces money buys more power than others
In general I think the more rich and developed a country as a whole is, the harder it is to live there as a poor person.

My friend's parents have moved out of the country to live in 2 different countries, only coming back for a year. They go and teach at international schools for a couple years. I've visited them and it's always great. Morocco and Curacao are the places.
I think the biggest thing if you're gonna do it is securing a job, and a work visa.
