Pressure cooker leak
    #23835429 - 11/15/16 12:55 PM (7 years, 2 months ago)

I was pressure cooking 3 quart jars in a small PC left it for an hour and half, found it leaked out the side, one part of the seal got knocked out of place. It never pressurized, so i turned off the heat and opened it fixed the seal and set it back to cook for only another 20 mins i ran out of water and had to turn it off. Will these jars be fully sanitized? Or will i have to wait and just re cook em.

How did you not notice that it was leaking before you left it?
Next time watch your pressure cooker a little closet.  You should be figuring out how low you can have the heat while cooking so your pressure cooker doesn't lose so much moisture next time.
I can run mine for 6 hours without changing the water. That tells me that your temperature is waaaaay too high

To answer your question.
I wouldn't bet on your jars being sterile. I'd throw them in the cooker again for a full 90 minute cycle

Is this grain spawn or pf tek. If it's pf, it'll be fine. Shit can be boiled for 90 mins without a pc.

And the water mostly leaked from the opening on the side, usually it will run at least 4 times before a refill. And this is grain.

I have the same model. The second time it blew pressurized chicken broth thru the kitchen I stopped using it. That thing is hazardous.
