Pleurotus of some sort? - - ID assistance

Habitat: Northeast USA, found in between logs in a woodpile
Gills: White, extremely decurrent
Cap: Flat, medium brown fading towards the apex
Spore print color: in process
Bruising: none
So I came across these last night and being in between tree trunk logs in a pile, all I could see at the time was the top of the caps. After carefully removing the group I was very surprised to see this gorgeous cluster of decurrent gills. I'm thinking they are a Pleurotus of some type (perhaps Pleurotus elongatipes?) but am interested in seeing if someone can confirm this and possibly nail down a species, thanks!

Thanks for the id, however I'm thinking they may be a different species. The oysters I find are puffy and soft like marshmallows and typically have a somewhat glossy sheen on the cap. These on the other hand have a flat, solid cap that has no "give" to it and the surface is almost fuzzy, like felt.

I've eaten Hohenbuehelia petaloides before, they are pretty flavorless and really rubbery.

Thanks for taking a 2nd look ...after a bit more searching I think it actually is Pleurotus ostreatus, just a different variety, perhaps columbinus. That said, I appreciate the Hohenbuehelia suggestion as I realized this is exactly what I found earlier today so two birds with one stone.
