small pins, will they grow or is it better to pick * 1

It's almost time for me to pick some of these shrooms off.

My question is should I also pick some of the pins that haven't grown, or will these develop once the bigger ones have been taken off?

Let them go a little longer. Cut the caps off of the larger ones to prevent spores everywhere and let the smaller ones grow a bit

I personally harvest all athe the same time but you can harvest as the viels break if you'd like. It's personal preference. I wouldn't cut the capsame off I'd just push down twist and pull up on the stipe to harvest individual fruits.

In my experience it is completely fine to wait till the last flush of big mush to come out, even pick the ones that break veil right away cause spores dropped on pins will cause aborts. The pins that aren't grown yet like the big ones breaking veil is your later flushes waiting for their turn to grow. So my advice would be pick your ones that break veil and let the pins sit to grow after you clear space for them. Eventually no more pins will grow from where they are, at that point pick em also cause they contain Psilocybin. Even the mycelium in the soil contains a good amount but takes a lot to separate.

Gorgeous pic.

Not sure what pins u are talking about. U talking about the tiny ones near the surface of the substrate?

If u pick, it could distrub them and kill them, but the "cutting off the heads" idea that was proposed by the other poster (cant remember the name) is a great idea.

What if the bare stem grow a new cap, like a gecko! :omgz:
