I got 100% on Bomberman 5 and that game is a real non-linear bastard of a thing that should be simple. Either Final Fantasy 5, Tales of Phantasia or coming to the realisation that psychic liberation doesn't live in a SNES is up next.

What's a currently popular online game that will run on a piece of shit computer? I tried playing that Hearthstone thing, but the person who introduced me got a pretty severe case of being dead so I dropped it.

bomberman 64 is awesome but you get into certain bosses that are super duper hard so people stop playing

I don't think I even managed to complete Bomberman 64. I remember the main problem just being getting lost and not knowing what the fuck I was supposed to do. The really good Bomberman games are horrendously difficult, but you at least know what you're trying to achieve.

I've been playing stellaris and chivalry. Chivalry I just got recently because it was on sale for two dollars and it's pretty fun. The combat is like a lethal dance with your opponent in which you have to keep track of your weapon range, what they're doing/preparing to do, and both of your positions. It will take awhile to "git gud" but so far I'm having a good time with it.

tropico 4... can't believe it took me this long to play a tropico game considering how much I love simcity and other building/management games... dying to play cities skylines or whatever, but it would prolly melt my laptop

on xbox one I'm playing;

forza 6, religiously

gta online

fallout 4

the remastered skyrim will probably be next.

• Dark Souls 3 - SL 120 quality build @ NG6 up to Abyss Watchers, still need to max two covenants. SL 1 deprived @ NG up to Aldrich.

• XCOM 2 - Legend difficulty, up to the final room of the last mission. Save scumming my dick off and getting fucked repeatedly.

• Mortal Kombat X - no real progress to be made, just playing random towers to unwind.

• CoD: Advanced Warfare - Fourth mission on Veteran. Not too familiar with CoD games and I picked this one up on a whim since it was ten bucks. It's amusing enough but the difficulty is hella artificial and just serves as arbitrary length to the campaign.
Once you die to something you've gotta be really stupid to die again, and there's very little skill element to avoiding death traps. It's basically drop to the ground when you advance into enemies, pop up and shoot. Kinda dull but it's really good looking at least.

Being single again is hella great.

Does COD AW have spec ops? Ime those are a little more fun and challenging than alot of the campaign challenges.

I'm not even sure, I'd have to check it out tonight. I was hoping for something like that, just individual "kill all the bad dudes" missions. I got kinda bored with it once I got to some mission where you have like 30 seconds to scan some dude in a crowd with your ipad or whatever.
Shame, the game's alright when it's letting you play it.

 yeah I think COD should have went back before going so far forward.

There was supposed to be a Roman Warfare COD but it got cancelled because it wasn't CODy enough and some other Roman game was coming out that was supposed to be awesome but turned out to be shit.

I'd like a WW1 or full Vietnam war game on COD's insane budget. Or even Revolutionary or Napoleonic war game. I mean their last 3-4 games have been super futuristic, they can't go much farther without being a pure fantasy game.

Yeah that's the funny part to me. CoD ended up going modern because people were tired of WWII shooters.
Now we've basically got Halo-lite with "Infinite War" or whatever we're up to now. The trailer had space fighters and jetpacks and shit.

It'd be hella cool if they wanted to take that same huge budget and do a true competitive shooter, since multiplayer is what keeps those games selling I guess. More single player "arcade" styles of gameplay would be alright as well, because what I've seen of the campaign is not very amusing.

I do agree that taking a step back in theme would be nice, too. Vietnam War and WWI never get a lot of love in FPS games.
It's time to make shooters great again, Activision.

Game updates:

• Dark Souls 3 - Got my NG6 character past Abyss Watchers and up to Yhorm now. Level 1 Deprived is past Aldrich and Yhorm and dying hideously to Dancer now.

• XCOM 2 - Finally beat that shit. Thinking about doing a new play tomorrow with Ironman on.

work been interfering with my gaming, but four day weekend coming up.

Yea COD to me is pretty much dead.I didn't bother getting the new one.I refuse to play another WW2 shooter, since 650 games have been published about that conflict.I'd prefer something like the 1st Iraq War or even the Korean or 100 Years' War.There was a Total War Napoleon game and a Rome one,as well.If a Revolutionary War game was ever made,it would probably be from the Total War developers.

I've started playing Titanfall 2.It's alot of fun.The campaign is ALOT better than the 1st game and multiplayer is improved a bit also.
