Here's a UFO I recorded at ground-level not too long ago.
There were plenty others around my house that night. May wanna go full screen.
Here's from another time, one of my favorites. Blasts off as I start to record it, was above my friend's house. Again, one of many in the vicinity.

Satellites move steadily, they are pretty easy to spot. They just look like faint steadily moving stars.
These orbs of light though will do crazy maneuvers in the sky that no terrestrial object I am aware of should be capable of.
This is part of why I don't think they are psychical things necessarily, that and the fact they are generally orbs of light not mysterious objects/ vehicles.

I posted in another thread about my biggest UFO experience.
It was at a forth of July firework display happened to be the best I've ever seen.
The orb was floating stationary and bobbing, weaving, swaying side to side at varying speeds on the outskirts of the firework display. I first asked my friends who were sitting atop the hill with me if they saw it too- they acknowledged. I then began shouting and alerting the crowd and many people stood up and started filming.
It was pulsing different colors and performing acrobatics as if to say, "look at me!". As quickly as it appeared it shot off into oblivion, at impossible speed. There were airplanes on a flight path to our right and this flashing light had no resemblance.
I hate myself for not having the footage anymore, and my one friend who also captured it passed away
Reflecting upon the event I wholeheartedly believe they are not only out there, they want us to know of their existence.

My wife and I saw four large bright orange orbs floating silently in the night sky. Definitively not airplanes, stars, planets or anything else we had ever seen before. We both immediately started freaking out and it was such a wild, unique experience, exhilarating and with a feeling of wonder and excitement. A real charge.
We watched them for about 3 -4 minutes , 3 remained stationary and one was moving from left to right. they then disappeared, first three did and a final one remained for a few more moments before disappearing.
About 15 minutes later in the same spot we saw a white-green triangular light in the sky stationary. when we approached it it took off flying along the horizon silently and we chased it in our car until we lost it.
This was two distinct types of object, the orange sphere and the white triangle. Neither was anything we had ever seen before .
The white triangle was unquestionably some kind of intelligently designed and operated thing. I suspect the orange spheres were somehow expressions of intelligence as well but I can't know for sure.
It seemed like the white triangle had come to investigate the orange spheres as it appeared in the exact same spot a few moments after they had departed. It also seemed like the white triangle flew away in response to us approaching it.

What the OP describes sounds to me like chinese lanterns which I have been fooled by myself in the past. The first time I ever saw those things was a huge swarm of them drifting in the sky at night (orange flickery orbs) which a neighbour pointed out to me. I'm quite sceptical now about what I see in the night sky and a space craft/interdimensional craft would have to be pretty close (enough to see detail) for me to acknowledge that was what I saw.
I often see moving stars high up in the night sky, some of which will be satellites but I have seen some change direction suddenly before (suddenly going at a 90 degree angle direction from where they were originally heading). I tend to get optical illusions a lot when looking at the stars and sometimes it can seem like they are moving about, but then I look aside from where I was looking and those stars are standing perfectly still. This is not what happened when Iv'e seen the moving stars that travel between the still stars. I don't much trust my eyes in the night sky, but if I saw a craft with lights on it and good detail I would trust that (be it some sort of psychic projection I have created, aliens, interdimensionals, demons/spirit phenomena or secret government craft etc).

I'm not shitting you, I've seen the very same objects, or similar.
4 orbs flying in a pattern, hovering in an odd way and changing shape into octahedrons. They changed color like you'd expect a cuttlefish to, but produced their own light as well.
They hovered overhead for a bit, and then when they flew off they went up in to the sky rather than across it like they did when they originally came into view.
The four objects had formations, there was no randomness in the way they flew.

Maybe if it was a Chinese lantern weather balloon
Most of these lights are seen at a solid distance, they are usually fairly high up I believe. They also are considerably bright as well and do some impossible aerobatics that no jet/plain would be capable of, let alone a lantern...

The orange ball I and my father saw, originally seemed to be about 10 ks or so away at about 45 degrees in the night sky it was semmingly vibrating back and forth, but from the distance it was away I would assume those vibrations where sizeable movements. It hung there for about 5 minutes then shot at speed about 100 degrees across the sky to be much closer within a k or 2 to be above and out from our house. Once there it darted back and forth up and down probably repeating what it had done at a distance all the time at speeds and Gs far in excess too my knowledge of what is possible with our technology.
After another few minutes of this darting without warning it shot straight up into the sky at a speed that made it hard to track and disappeared. Needless to say if I hadn't seen it I wouldn't believe or comprehend it hearing it from another, I am glad my father was there and we both witnessed it. I am no closer to understanding what it was now than I was 15 years ago.

It would be very easy for interplanetary travelers to introduce themselves to us, if there are any visitors to this planet they don't want anyone to know about them, or they're indifferent.
Personally I'm skeptical of sightings, never seen anything suspicious and when objects are pointed out there has always been a more mundane explanation. I'll believe it when there's some credible reason to do so, as exciting as that would be, nothing has come close.

Weve all heard the case before, but it strikes me as self centered to think we're the only intelligent life out there. The notion of ET life forms manning crafts and checking up on us is proof that they are waaay more intelligent, and therefore may have some freaky ability to see into the future or something, something to make them avoid formal introduction.
Not only do I believe they are out there, I very much believe they are walking amongst us.. in a way they are not even aware because their species came crashing into earth from a meteorite way back in prehistory.
Btw I do not endorse the belief of reptilians in the oval office.
Edit- clarifying that they have crafts
