Cleaning LC on agar
    #23831442 - 11/14/16 08:02 AM (7 years, 2 months ago)

Can healthy mycelium be isolated on agar from a liquid culture? If so, how is this best done and what should I be looking for?

Thanks for the tip. Do you have a link to this tek?

Wondering how much LC to add to the plate, and what to be looking for if god knows what is in that LC. I know some mold in beginning stages can look like myc.

Just wait enough time to be able to distinguish mycelium from mold.  Mold grows faster than mycelium, so if you see the agar plate blow up in a fluffy white within 2 or 3 days it's mold.  That's assuming you aren't covering the entire petri in LC.  Just use a small drop after shaking the LC. Give it room to grow out.

Give it a shot and if you're unsure if it's mold post here.
